Sylarna Mountain Station- Drying rooms 1,000 metres above sea level
STF Sylarna Mountain Station is located at an altitude of 1,035 metres, at the foot of the Syl massif in western Jämtland, Sweden. Every year the station serves about 12,000 people who visit the area for hiking and skiing.
Weather conditions in the Swedish mountains can be very unpredictable, and besides enjoying a good meal, rest and recuperation at the station, guests welcome the opportunity to dry out their clothing and equipment. Due to the large quantity of clothing and materials to be dried, high efficiency is crucial. Moreover, because clothes, sleeping bags and other equipment are frequently dried together in the station’s drying rooms, the drying method needs to be gentle on the materials. Local manager Björn Topplänt looks forward to improving the drying facilities at Sylarna Mountain Station, something that guests have been requesting.
At the start of 2019, the station installed new dehumidifiers in both its drying rooms to improve their drying capacity. The chosen solution was El-Björn’s proven and effective A155F drying room dehumidifiers, supplemented with circulation fans for a fast, energy-efficient and gentle drying process.
