Our history
Established by Karl-Henrik Enocson in 1954 in Elgarem, Anderstorp and then known as Armaturartiklar AB. Manufacturing consisted of small, fixed distribution centres, fuse elements and busbars.
During the 1960s and 1970s manufacturing of portable power distribution centres started on subcontract followed by multiple outlet sockets and heating fans as our own products.
1977 the company moved to Prästvägen in Anderstorp.
1980 the son, Björn Enocson, took over the company and the company started manufacturing portable power distribution centres as its own products. We were then 6 employees.
The name El-Björn AB was taken in 1983.
1984 Gårö El AB acquired the company.
1986 we moved to new premises on Depågatan in Anderstorp where we are still located. These premises have been expanded in 1988, 1990 and 2006.
1994 Hans Enocson, Svante Pettersson and Harald Stigefelt purchased the company.
1994 development of the BCS module system.
1998 El-Björn acquired the company Antifukt AB and formed El-Björn Klimat AB.
New premises were built for El-Björn Klimat AB at the Depågatan site in 1999.
Since 1999 the Hans Enocson family has been the sole owner. El-Björn AB became the parent company and activities were placed in El-Björn Electro AB.
2004 a completely new product line was developed: "Drying fans".
2005 a new product for air purification was developed: LR500
2005 activities in El-Björn Klimat AB were transferred to El-Björn Electro AB through a fusion.
2006 El-Björn Electro AB changes name to El-Björn AB.
2008 El-Björn and Byggstrøm AS merges.
2011 Byggstrøm AS changes name to El-Bjørn, Priveq Investment.
2015 El-Björn establishes companies in Finland and UK.
2016 Connecting Capital becomes El-Björn’s majority shareholder.
2017 El-Björn Connect is launched as one of our new digital services.
2018 El-Björn acquires Vohek Oy
2019 El-Björn and Satema are both owned by United Power
