Working at El-Björn

Our vision as an employer is to offer all employees a secure workplace and challenging, developmental tasks. At El-Björn, employees have significant opportunities to influence both the company’s and their personal growth. A key aspect of this is the trust we place in our employees and the encouragement we provide to take on responsibility.

We achieve this by, for example, always advertising vacant positions internally and offering development opportunities through both internal and external training. In 2022, we joined an EU-funded project at Campus Värnamo, "Competence Development Småland." Through this initiative, more than half of our employees underwent training over a six-month period.

El-Björn’s core values are Teamwork, Commitment, Quality, and Responsibility. These values guide everything we do, and it is essential that our employees’ personal values align with ours.

We integrate our values into every aspect of our work, from how we treat each other and handle daily tasks to assessments during salary reviews. The goal is for all employees to be ambassadors of our culture and to lead by example.

Health and Wellbeing

We are proud of the work environment at El-Björn. Visitors often comment on how clean, quiet, and calm our production facilities are for a manufacturing company. In 2021, we completed our new office space, which has been a significant improvement over the previous setup. We work actively to maintain this positive work environment by conducting systematic employee surveys, regular health checks for all staff, and safety inspections.

As we design our products from scratch, considerations for work environment and ergonomics during production and assembly are integrated into product development.

Additional employee benefits include regular massages during working hours, a daily subsidized breakfast buffet, wellness allowances, a social club, and the option for discounted electric car charging.

Growth and Learning

El-Björn actively encourages and supports professional development. There are ample opportunities to advance within the company, as all vacant positions are announced internally. We have numerous examples of employees who have transitioned to new roles within El-Björn.

We depend on having employees with the right skills. As El-Björn develops new products and services, many roles evolve. We aim to retain our employees by thinking long-term, with a goal that the majority of staff engage in some form of professional development each year.

Talent Development

El-Björn strives for a more balanced gender distribution across all departments and within the company as a whole. During recruitment, we aim to attract both men and women to apply for available roles.

We value long-term relationships with our employees. Internal role changes are encouraged whenever possible. For every recruitment, a thorough needs analysis, job specification, and role description are conducted to ensure clarity for both El-Björn and potential candidates.
