Responsibility for the Entire Value Chain
We want our products and services to contribute to positive societal development throughout the entire value chain, from raw material extraction to the end of our products' lifecycle. Our goal is to close the loop and create the most circular value chain possible.
Product Development and Design
Several sustainability aspects are foundational in our product development. We place great emphasis on ensuring that our products are energy-efficient, of high quality, and robust. Our rigorous development and testing process ensures these qualities. We aim to perform climate calculations from a lifecycle perspective for all our products, a focus area moving forward, where access to reliable input data for these calculations is a critical development area.
El-Björn in the Sharing Economy
Our customers are generally rental companies, meaning our products are used as needed, enabling efficient utilization. In this way, we are part of a sharing economy that strongly contributes to circularity in our business.
In 2022, we expanded our El-Björn Connect concept, renting out equipment to connect our products. This allows customers to monitor electricity and heat usage, temperatures, and humidity levels for their specific projects. Our business area, ePOLE, is another example of how we strive to make our business model more circular.
Extending Product Lifespan
We strive to make our products available to our customers and users for as long as possible. Our products are designed from the ground up, ensuring easy repair and replacement of parts as a given. Through our webshop, we ensure that spare parts are available to facilitate maintenance, service, and repair work.
Long-Term Partnerships
Long-term collaborations with suppliers are a key part of our strategy to deliver consistently high quality in our products. A future priority is to develop a comprehensive method for assessing the sustainability of our suppliers and further down the supply chain.
